About Us
Allstate Hairstyling & Barber College was established on September 6, 1961. The college has been under the ownership and directorship of the D’Amico family since October 1, 1974.
Facilities
Allstate Hairstyling & Barber College is located at 2546 Lorain Ave., Cleveland, OH 44113. There is ample parking available. The college is licensed for 40 students. A typical class consists of 25 students at the location. This location has three departments: the clinic/shop, the classroom and the offices.
Educational Objectives and Philosophy
The philosophy and objectives of the Allstate Hairstyling & Barber College are:
- To provide a well-rounded educational program which will fit the needs and demands of the barber profession, which includes all services that may be requested by the clientele of barbers/styling shops and salons.
- To provide the students with the theory and practical knowledge of regular haircuts, the creation of modern hairstyles with unity to form and balance, hair and scalp care, permanents, hair coloring, shaving, etc.
- To train students so that they can become successfully employed as a barber stylist, including training in the business methods required for operating a shop.
- To prepare the students to successfully pass the Ohio State Barber Examination.
